Salcey Forest Walk, October 06

Our autumn visit to Salcey Forest felt more like a summer's day, and was very well attended and enjoyable.  The age span ranged from our youngest supporter, Adam, now 6 months, to Geoff aged 86!  We were pleased to be joined by some folks new to PA15 and to the Church.  We tackled the heights of the elephant walk and were amazed by the views.  After all that exercise and fresh air some of us went on to lunch at The Cock in Roade, which while we waited for the food gave us more time to chat and enjoy the fellowship that is one of the key aspects of PA15 events.

 Fireworks Event, November 06

The fireworks party went with a sparkle and a bang, as you would expect !  It was another well-supported event, with a mix of ages, including newer families and also some non-Church goers, who we were delighted to welcome, so it was good outreach.  Once again we had excellent weather, the Lord certainly seems to bless our events in that way. Thanks to all the donations of fireworks, the display went on for such a long time that the sausages were slightly overdone, but lashings of mushy peas, onions and sauce meant that no-one noticed !  They were followed by apple pie and crumble, which were equally well received.  All in all we had an evening of fun, fellowship, fireworks and food, which we all enjoyed.

 PA15 Christmas Party

This was held at Cromwell Cottage, Kislingbury and was a thoroughly festive occasion, with good food and seasonal fellowship for all.  26 of us enjoyed ourselves and were well taken care of by the pub staff.  It is recommended that you book your place early next year, as numbers always fill up quickly.

 Games Party, January 07

This was well attended and a great success thanks to the efforts of Dorothy Line, who was our MC for the evening and kept us all on out toes with a range of challenging games and activities, ably supported by husband Steve and son Andrew.  It was a close contest to find the winning team, and not without controversy due to disputes over scoring and adding up, but in the end justice was done!

PA15 Dressing up/ down / come as you like supper in February

This was great fun, with a 3 course meal for only £4, and guests including Catwoman, The Blues Brothers, Austin Powers and his glamorous sidekick, Bill Oddie, a wedding party and a mysterious Victorian gentleman, amongst others.  There were games and puzzles as well, although the film star anagrams proved a challenge too far for some people.  All in all, another well supported, thoroughly entertaining evening.

 Quiz Night

The quiz evening was hosted by Simon Hoggarth and Jonathan Turner. The quiz included general knowledge, music, picture rounds and more. Light refreshments provided by Jenny Richardson. A fun evening for all.
