Stevington Walk, October 06th

The new season started with a circular walk starting at the village of Stevington in Bedfordshire. The walk went across open countryside, along the old Northampton to Bedford railway line and by the Great River Ouse.  A final stop was made at the refurbished Stevington Windmill. See picture below.

Having worked up an appetite we retired to the Green Man at Lavendon for a well earned meal.

 Fireworks Party, November 10th

The third PA15 Fireworks party went with bang. A selection of large fireworks kindly bought by those attending created a colourful display lasting about 30minutes. (Where did you get those rockets Mike?)

Many thanks to Derek and Maureen for their hospitality. What great puddings we had, the Pineapple upside cake a firm favourite of mine.

 Pancake Party, February

Who can resist a Pancake? Well nearly 30 people couldn't! (I secretly believe that the PA15 club is a closet "Pudding club" but that's another story). With a mind taxing quiz to be completed and a pancake tossing competition the evening was pancake packed with fun and food.

Congratulations to Mark for winning the Pancake tossing, the prize was a Frying Pan and well done to Barbara for winning the quiz, the prize - a Jif Lemon.
